First consultation

We can start making the facial prosthesis rapidly if there are no medical contraindications or a lapse of time that has to be respected, for example following a surgical operation or radiotherapy sessions. The time required to make the prosthesis depends on the complexity of each individual case.

During the first consultation, we address the following points:

  • the assessment of your disorder and the feasibility of facial prosthetic reconstruction

  • the means of retention by which the prosthesis will be attached

  • the cover you shall receive from your health insurance

  • the number of appointments (some phases in the fabrication process require the patient’s presence and sessions of varying lengths will be defined according to each case) and the time required to make the prosthesis.
